Collanos Workplace allows you to create workspaces between members and save or edit any kind of files, tasks, send instant messages, and discussions. Once you installed the software the login window will appear. You can select remember password and automatically startup with OS. If this is the first time you are going to utilize Collanos Workplace you can click in "Don't have a Collanos Name?" and you will be able to create a new account. A valid email is required because you will receive a confirmation code needed to utilize the software. After this you will have to fill in your user profile. Once you filled in you will see the introduction to workspaces and you can select how to create and view your first workspace with a 3-step wizard or a sample workspace. The active workspace has three main components: team member, team workspace that contains the folder structure to store team's content, and discussions window to discuss between team members. In the team members window you will see all the members and their status (online, busy, offline, etc.). You can invite anyone that has installed Collanos Workplace if he is currently online with the "Invite" icon button. After accepting the invitation the computers are synchronized with the workspace content. You can send instant messages with the "Send IM" icon button. In the folder structure of the workspace's content you can create folders with the "New folder" icon button and save files, discussions, notes, tasks, and links (It can be any file). You can click in any file to open and edit it. Once the file is modified Collanos will ask you to update the modified file in the workspace. You can see which member made the last modification of each file and date of modification. Tasks can be also updated and you can check status, assigned to, progress, start date, due date, priority, and notes. With the link object you can create links to web sites. You can create discussion objects with the "Discussion" icon button. It allows you to have a discussion issue with the team members even if they are not online. An orange mark alerts you every time any object is modified. Once the updated object is opened the mark disappear. You can have as many workplaces as you wish with their own folder structure and content.
